{"id":183,"date":"2011-10-18T17:07:41","date_gmt":"2011-10-18T17:07:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fondationgroupeforget.ca\/?p=101"},"modified":"2022-10-16T13:46:30","modified_gmt":"2022-10-16T17:46:30","slug":"audition-new","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fondationgroupeforget.ca\/en\/the-hearing-in-brief-en\/audition-new","title":{"rendered":"The Possible Effects of Hearing Loss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Psychological effects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A study by the National Council on Aging shows that people suffering from hearing loss are more likely to be subject to sadness, fear, anxiety and emotional instability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Physiological effects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the psychological effects, failing to treat hearing loss can lead to serious physiological problems, such as fatigue or exhaustion, headaches, muscle pain, vertigo, hypertension, eating or sleep disorders, or digestive problems.  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solutions to reduce the symptoms<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All of the symptoms above can be significantly decreased by wearing a hearing aid that will improve some aspects of damaged hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The Fondation Groupe Forget\u2019s mission is to provide hearing aids and personalized support to people who apply for a donation.
